• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Go microservices, including APIs, aggregation services, pub/sub consumers, caching layers, and data services • Contribute to platform APIs for routing, policy, identity, and secret management • Write, review, and ship production code through GitHub pull requests • Author and maintain Protocol Buffer definitions using Buf tooling • Diagnose and resolve cross-service compatibility issues and produce root cause analyses and post-mortems • Build and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code for GCP resources, including GKE, IAM, networking, and managed services • Own the secrets management lifecycle, including migration from HashiCorp Vault to Google Secret Manager via External Secrets Operator • Develop and maintain secure GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines • Manage Kubernetes workloads and manifests across PR, NP, and production GKE environments • Operate and improve deployment automation using the Galaxy developer platform and ServiceNow change request integration • Own production deployments, monitor rollouts, validate traffic cutover, and complete post-deployment verification • Troubleshoot production incidents across the platform stack • Remediate CVEs and security violations • Address technical debt, dependency drift, and stale configurations • Partner with engineering teams to understand platform needs and reduce developer toil • Participate in code reviews, standups, sprint ceremonies, and architecture discussions • Maintain internal documentation, onboarding guides, and AI-assisted development orientation files • Guide junior engineers and lead technical discussions
• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • 3 years minimum work experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job • Proficiency in Go or equivalent compiled, statically typed language, with willingness to work in Go day-to-day • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly GKE, IAM, and managed data services • Experience designing, building, and operating production microservices in a cloud-native environment • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed service boundaries • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform • Experience managing Kubernetes deployments across multiple environments • Experience with HashiCorp Vault Enterprise and/or secrets migration patterns • Familiarity with API gateway or service mesh technologies • Experience with Protocol Buffers and Buf tooling • Background in internal developer platform or developer experience engineering • Familiarity with Tailscale or similar zero-trust networking solutions • Familiarity with SLSA supply chain practices, build attestation, or software composition analysis • Google Cloud Professional certification preferred
