📋 Description

• Drive the technical design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and quality of important backend features and integrations • Develop REST API endpoints and database schema changes • Translate business logic into backend solutions • Perform performance tuning and security hardening • Independently execute projects, proactively raise issues, and unblock work • Mentor and guide less experienced or new developers • Own critical overarching aspects of engineering infrastructure and service design, implementation, and maintenance processes • Drive technical discussions and help determine solutions under constraints • Work closely with engineering leads on planning and executing large, complex projects • Contribute to feature development, maintenance, and quality • Raise code quality through code reviews, testing, technical presentations, and refactoring • Participate in interviewing engineering candidates and contribute to hiring decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ yrs of commercial software development experience • 3+ yrs of experience using Python and the wider ecosystem as the primary day-to-day env • 3+ yrs of designing and extending RESTful APIs • 3+ yrs of experience working with a web framework such as Django (preferred), Flask, Rails. • 2+ yrs of relational SQL experience • 2+ yrs of experience troubleshooting production issue
