📋 Description

• Act as the on-site project leader for HVAC controls and other BAS projects • Execute and complete assigned projects safely and cost-effectively • Perform or delegate system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, training, and project closeout tasks • Participate in hardware installation and software programming using established standards • Communicate design and operation details to customers, Johnson Controls staff, and subcontractors • Load, verify devices, and commission system controllers • Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and others • Prepare accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation • Test and write modifications to systems software • Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to subcontractors • Perform site-specific training for owners/operators • Ensure owners/operators are trained and receive system documentation and operation manuals • Follow all safety standards and prioritize employee and subcontractor safety

🎯 Requirements

• Technical, hands-on experience in system commissioning and/or programming of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC systems) • Knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems, HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques • Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems and equipment • Strong personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and the general Windows environment • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time to international/overseas locations • U.S. citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher security clearance • Active Secret or higher clearance strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Johnson Controls Metasys or Tridium Niagara DDC system preferred • Experience with BAS communication protocols including BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, N2, P1, Modbus, and/or LON preferred • Experience using SMP, SCT, and/or CCT preferred • Experience supporting projects in foreign countries preferred • Prior experience supporting projects at U.S. military or other federal government sites preferred
