📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframes • Refactor legacy code so modern cloud and mobile applications can interact with mainframe core data • Monitor architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code and maintain mainframe performance • Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions • Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services • Develop scalable and robust software using software development methodologies • Work with global communities of experts on mainframe modernization

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects • Excellent coding skills and solid development experience with Java, Python, .Net, or similar • Debugging and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software using software development methodologies • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases • Experience with data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services • Knowledge of architecture design, including microservices architecture • Knowledge of containers, including Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of messaging queues • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred • Certification in one or more hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, or Google GCP preferred; certifications may be obtained with Kyndryl • Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices preferred • If hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, may be required to show proof of vaccination under that location's policy
