📋 Description

• Define, own and approve the enterprise data-architecture strategy, standards, decision framework and roadmap • Hold architectural approval authority over enterprise data designs • Lead development of enterprise conceptual, logical, and physical data models across clinical, patient, provider, encounter/visit, payer, financial, operational and workforce domains • Establish Bronze and Silver layer architecture standards, including schemas, naming, change-data-capture, audit metadata, retention and PHI handling • Own data quality and validation for enterprise data products • Direct MDM Data Stewards resolving identity matches and master-data discrepancies • Model conformed silver-layer entities, including grain, keys, relationships, history, effective dating and reconciliation • Lead, mentor and develop Technical Data Analysts and enterprise data modelers • Embed Technical Data Analysts in domain data-product teams from discovery through implementation validation and consumer acceptance • Partner with Enterprise Analytics and functional analytics teams on use cases, analytical questions and metric needs • Translate analytical use cases into implementable silver-layer designs and acceptance criteria • Partner with Data Engineers on source discovery, feasibility and physical implementation considerations • Validate implemented silver-layer products against approved logical designs • Establish documentation, metadata, lineage, traceability, reconciliation and known-use limitation standards • Approve changes to enterprise data models and conduct formal architecture reviews • Define technical architecture for master and reference data • Establish interim model-decision and stewardship mechanisms until enterprise Data Governance is established • Partner with Data Platform Engineering on Snowflake, dbt, CI/CD, environments, observability, access control and reusable frameworks • Measure and improve model reuse, analytical fitness, design-cycle time, implementation rework, architectural consistency and consumer satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience • 10+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, data warehousing, technical data analysis or enterprise information management • 10+ years of healthcare data experience • 5+ years of experience leading and managing data architecture, data governance or data management teams • Deep expertise in conceptual, logical and physical data modeling, canonical and conformed data structures, data grain, history and cross-domain integration • Experience translating analytical questions and anticipated consumption patterns into reusable enterprise data-model designs • Deep experience with source-system discovery, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, transformation requirements, reconciliation and implementation acceptance criteria • Experience partnering with Data Engineering teams responsible for cloud data-warehouse pipelines • Strong working knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks • Strong working knowledge of transformation frameworks such as dbt • Experience with healthcare data domains including clinical, patient, provider, encounters/visits, payer, financial or operational data • Working knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage, data quality and master/reference-data practices • Ability to lead through influence across Data Engineering, Enterprise Analytics, business functions, Platform Engineering and executive stakeholders • Strong facilitation and communication skills for technical and analytical audiences • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States • Preferred: experience with Redshift-to-Snowflake or major platform modernization migrations • Preferred: experience organizing delivery around durable business domains or data products • Preferred: experience leading an architecture or modeling chapter embedded in cross-functional teams • Preferred: experience in regulated healthcare environments supporting HIPAA, HITRUST or comparable requirements • Preferred: experience with identity resolution, master/reference-data architecture, semantic layers, interoperability standards or AI-ready data foundations • Preferred: comfort operating hands-on during initial function build-out • Ability to sit, stand, bend, talk and hear; frequently walk; and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
