📋 Description

• Design and implement cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services for compute, container orchestration, and managed databases • Develop reference architectures and best practices for scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams • Create and maintain infrastructure as code • Ensure cloud infrastructure design aligns with SOC requirements • Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, role-based access control, and network segmentation • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for third-party compliance auditors • Support audits, evidence collection, and remediation • Maintain documentation required for SOC audits • Own security-relevant configuration and controls for cloud infrastructure • Monitor virtual machine resource utilization and address capacity or performance issues • Apply operating system and security patches to virtual machines • Perform routine platform maintenance across cloud environments • Monitor system logs and alerts and troubleshoot infrastructure issues • Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, documenting root cause and remediation • Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity across cloud regions • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using observability tools • Optimize cloud costs through right sizing, reserved capacity, and governance policies • Support cloud infrastructure incident response • Partner with engineering and leadership to align cloud strategy with business goals • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external compliance auditors • Mentor engineers on cloud architecture best practices • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms • Strong understanding of SOC requirements and experience supporting compliance audits with external auditors • Strong cloud networking and systems administration skills • Experience with virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and server configuration and maintenance • Hands-on experience with identity management and security services • Experience with infrastructure as code tooling • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Strong understanding of encryption, key management, and secure data handling • Comfort owning security-related decisions independently • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Cloud architecture or security certifications from major cloud providers preferred • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments preferred • Familiarity with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or GDPR preferred • Experience with container orchestration platforms preferred • Must be able to show documentation authorizing legal work in the United States of America • No travel required
