📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, product managers, designers, stakeholders, DevOps, and QA teams • Translate requirements into technical solutions • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code • Design and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and distributed applications • Design and implement software features, modules, and APIs • Design and optimize PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB schemas, SQL queries, indexes, and data models • Develop software processing real-time and time-series data with scalability, reliability, and performance • Participate in code reviews • Use AI-assisted development tools while reviewing and testing generated code • Write unit, integration, end-to-end, automated API, and integration tests • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues • Ensure software is scalable, secure, and optimized • Monitor production systems and implement fixes and improvements • Refactor code and perform software upgrades • Optimize database performance, application responsiveness, and cloud resource utilization • Create and maintain developer and end-user documentation, API documentation, architecture documentation, and technical implementation guides • Research emerging software development trends, tools, technologies, AI development tools, frameworks, and automation technologies • Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives • Manage tasks and priorities within defined timelines and milestones • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 2 years in software development, working with modern software engineering practices • Experience developing commercial software applications using Go, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable modern programming languages is preferred • Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and design patterns • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies • Experience with version control systems such as Git • Experience developing software using Go, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL development, database design, and query optimization • Experience with TimescaleDB or other time-series databases is preferred • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar LLM-based coding assistants • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills, including conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively • Must undergo a criminal background check upon offer acceptance
