📋 Description

• Work with data stewards to capture and certify data definitions • Map data assets across Finance, Commercial, HR, and Marketing • Improve Excel/Python-based metadata intake processes and explore systemization opportunities • Facilitate definition workshops with domain owners and stakeholders • Recommend business definitions, descriptions, owners, related terms, and calculation logic • Follow up with stakeholders to maintain progress across domains • Resolve cross-domain terminology conflicts • Clean and validate inputs before uploading them to Unity Catalog • Upload approved definitions and verify their accuracy and discoverability • Establish lightweight governance processes to keep definitions current • Document end-to-end processes for team handoff • Capture, validate, and certify business definitions with Data Stewards and Business Owners • Maintain a centralized business glossary and metadata repository • Identify, catalog, and map data assets to business terminology • Analyze relationships between data assets and business concepts • Drive consensus on standardized terminology • Establish metadata governance standards and approval workflows • Automate metadata collection, validation, and approval workflows • Review metadata submissions for completeness and accuracy • Support metadata audits and remediation activities • Verify Unity Catalog searchability, discoverability, usability, and links to business and technical assets • Create user guides, SOPs, and process documentation • Prepare handover documentation and train operational teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience • Experience in Data Stewardship • Experience with Databricks • Experience with Databricks Data Governance • Experience with Unity Catalog • Strong Python skills (good to have) • Power BI/Tableau experience (preferred) • Azure Data Platform experience (preferred) • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Proficiency with Jira/Confluence • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
