📋 Description

• Build new systems and enhance and refactor existing systems • Integrate software with external systems • Work on performance projects • Collaborate with developers, QA, and Product Managers to design and implement features • Provide input on product and engineering roadmaps • Work closely with the technical lead to shape the Engineering vision and roadmap • Design, develop, or modify software and software systems while considering service architecture • Analyze user needs to determine whether to build or modify software • Translate business requirements and specifications into usable, scalable software • Lead design and code reviews • Participate in discussions about the team’s future vision and strategy • Contribute to Customer Communication, Identity, Decisions, or Portfolio Management systems

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer for non-trivial web applications • 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience • Thinks critically about work to guarantee business functionality • Understands and takes into account business goals in technical decisions • Able to break down large initiatives into incrementally implementable deliverables • Strong communication ability to describe complex problems and solutions • Able to work across teams to tackle complex issues • Extensive experience with data model design for relational databases • Additional plus: Hotwire Turbo/Stimulus and Tailwind experience • Additional plus: Extensive experience using SQL to investigate non-trivial issues or create complex reporting • Additional plus: Strong frontend or infrastructure (DevOps) experience • Additional plus: Prior FinTech experience
