📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for a squad and manage the team • Design, develop, and test new features for the platform • Maintain and improve the codebase, fix bugs, and refactor • Promote standards and best practices to raise overall quality • Conduct regular 1:1s and support team well-being • Structure team rituals and ensure cadence and predictability • Co-define the technical roadmap with Product • Coordinate reliability initiatives and lead maintenance for high-risk changes • Define and communicate team metrics • Lead incident response and prioritize follow-up actions • Participate in recruiting and selection processes

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (5+ years) using TDD/BDD • Knowledge of PostgreSQL or another relational database • Experience building and consuming APIs and maintaining applications • Some experience with other languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Go • Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Advanced knowledge of the HTTP protocol • Proficient in written English and good spoken English skills • Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Self-sufficient user of Linux or macOS • Previous experience in technical leadership • Ability to conduct 1:1s and provide constructive feedback • Clear and concise written communication skills
