📋 Description

• Lead two engineering teams in the Clinical Division • Own engineering health, delivery, and technical direction of the clinician order pipeline and patient continuity experience • Manage engineers from mid-level through staff, including day-to-day management, career growth, performance management, and technical development • Set performance standards, provide feedback, conduct reviews, build promotion cases, and address underperformance • Develop tech leads and senior engineers • Own team goals and roadmap execution; remove blockers and improve delivery practices • Increase effective use of AI tooling, including agentic coding, repo-native tooling, MCP servers, review, and test acceleration • Partner with two PMs and two designers on scope, technical cost, user value, discovery, and delivery • Review Architecture Decision Documents and conduct pre-launch risk assessments • Lead technical discovery, feasibility analysis, and capacity estimation • Participate in PR reviews, design discussions, and incident retrospectives • Guide agile engineering practices, TDD, and robust software design • Serve as primary contact with Product, Design, clinical stakeholders, and leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience, including managing more than one team or managing through tech leads • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering software in a production environment • Demonstrated track record as a performance manager: evidence of growing engineers to the next level, and of handling underperformance directly • Professional experience with open source programming languages • Hands-on familiarity with modern AI development tooling and experience on how to generate team adoption • Must reside in the U.S. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and for the duration of employment • This role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship
