📋 Description

• Process bi-weekly payrolls for specific employee groups, reconcile payroll, and validate confirmed reports • Monitor approved time sheets and ensure valid data transfers to and from the payroll service • Maintain employee payroll records, including status changes, tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and time off accruals • Research and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, deductions, direct deposit, garnishments, and leave-related payroll impacts • Compute severance and vacation payout amounts • Assist with payroll tax activities, including tax notice research, agency correspondence, account reconciliations, and payroll tax reporting support • Develop ad hoc payroll, financial, and operational reports • Prepare general ledger journal entries and reconciliations • Administer system interfaces with general ledger, payroll, benefits, and timekeeping applications • Process garnishment and special payroll deduction calculations in compliance with applicable requirements • Review changes for authorization and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Assist with leave of absence payroll processing and validate benefit deductions, arrears balances, and payroll impacts • Record payroll invoices into the accounts payable system • Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll documentation and responding to information requests • Maintain procedures, desk guides, and documentation
