📋 Description

• Manage operations for the designated team • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring • Supervise assigned team work and delegate work assignments • Liaise with other groups and departments to support team initiatives and guide client expectations and timelines • Identify and remove obstacles affecting team members’ tasks • Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members • Coach and develop new and existing team members • Facilitate business or team updates through meetings, 1:1s, and team huddles • Recommend actions to managers regarding performance management, promotions, terminations, and performance issues • Compile team performance metrics for leadership • Collaborate with leadership on best practices and performance improvements • Lead team initiatives and execute strategy • Represent Tech Ops in cross-team client escalations and departmental issues • Strategize solution ideas • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel occasionally as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • At least 2 years of experience in a lead or mentor position required • At least 3 years of experience in the Payroll and HR industry required • Strong technical aptitude • Comfort/experience communicating with Executive level leadership internally or client facing • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an autonomous environment with minimal direction • Client first mentality and ability to demonstrate and teach excellence in client facing interactions • Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day • Ability to operate a computer, use phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs simultaneously • For General Ledger: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience • For General Ledger: Experience with journal entries and Accounts Payable preferred • For General Ledger: Understanding of cost and labor allocations • For General Ledger: Knowledge of data retrieval from a relational database is a plus • For General Ledger: Experience with Paylocity’s Payroll product strongly preferred • For General Ledger: Prior experience in an accounting role • For Customs: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or MIS, or equivalent work experience preferred • For Customs: Experience with Paylocity’s Payroll product strongly preferred • For Integrations: Knowledge of data retrieval from a relational database is a strong plus • For Integrations: Experience with XML and EDI/File receipt/transmissions is a plus
