• Serve as a strategic, relationship-driven HR partner to leaders and employees, primarily supporting Operations and Litigation Technology business lines • Own employee relations matters and workplace investigations company-wide and within assigned business lines • Provide day-to-day guidance on people matters, policy interpretation, team dynamics, workforce planning, organizational design, and headcount • Facilitate HR screening interviews for supervisor-level positions and higher • Provide recruiting relief during periods of high-volume hiring • Conduct market compensation research and assist with compensation ranges and offer negotiation recommendations • Conduct assigned managerial exit interviews • Support hiring processes through compliance guidance, job description support, and market or policy input • Partner with business lines to reduce turnover, improve engagement, and provide workforce-trend data and insights • Coach managers through performance and conduct concerns and determine appropriate resolutions • Manage disciplinary processes, including performance improvement plans and involuntary terminations • Assist with unemployment claims and related state agency responses and separation documentation • Guide managers through performance and disciplinary conversations and annual performance reviews • Advise managers on merit increases, promotions, and other compensation decisions within approved salary bands • Provide backup HR support across departmental responsibilities • Contribute to digital automation and continuous improvement of HR processes and systems • Ensure consistent and compliant application of company policy • Support investigations or complaints involving harassment, discrimination, or safety • Support HR compliance initiatives and perform additional HR duties as assigned
• 5+ years of HR business partner or generalist experience with direct ownership of employee relations and workplace investigations • Experience supporting a 200+ employee workforce and/or multi-team groups • Strong coaching, consulting, and conflict-resolution skills with people leaders • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state employment law • Excellent judgment and discretion handling highly confidential and sensitive matters • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting • Proficient with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills required • Experience partnering with operations or other client-facing teams, ideally within a Legal services environment (or adjacent industry) preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
