📋 Description

• Market PRIDE’s job opportunities and recruit external applicants for employment with PRIDE • Interview external and internal applicants by phone and in person • Screen applicants by matching backgrounds and work experience to written job descriptions • Ensure accuracy and completion of employment applications, resumes, pre-employment screenings, and offer letters • Provide applicant documentation to Human Resources for personnel files • Work with Human Resources to determine appropriate starting salaries • Coordinate interviews and recruiting processes with hiring managers and others involved in hiring decisions • Develop sourcing strategies and market opportunities through job postings, Internet sources, job fairs, referrals, and other external-applicant sources • Coordinate recruiting activities and events with community agencies, job postings, Internet sources, job fairs, and businesses • Maintain documentation for open and closed positions, offer and denial letters, and related recruiting records • Update job postings, advertisements, and applicant files • Conduct employment reference checks on final candidates • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent amount of related work experience • Minimum of one year recruiting experience, including recruiting techniques, technology, and methodologies • Intermediate personal computer expertise, including Internet search engine utilization, to post jobs and source applicants • Knowledge of labor laws relating to recruiting, interviewing, applications, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and accommodations • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests • Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English • Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data • Human relations skills to build effective working relationships • Demonstrated customer service, problem solving, and common sense skills • Ability to view computer screens/monitors, utilize a keyboard, and answer/make phone calls for extended periods • Must reside in Virginia
