📋 Description

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team in the Public Sector/Federal organization • Guide pre-sales Systems Engineers supporting US Government National Security Agencies and the Defense Industrial Base • Demonstrate effective people development in a rapidly evolving technical space • Assist in developing and executing technical sales strategy • Advocate for employees and focus on team and people development • Drive operational excellence by creating team support methodology and validating technical demand • Lead by example through the company’s values • Develop an understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making motivations • Act as lead technical officer in the covered territory • Refine sales strategy and tactics and lead technical responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and domain expertise across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings • Enable the team to capture requirements and translate customer needs into solutions • Author RFI and RFP responses when needed • Pursue interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities • Promote roadmap and planning exchanges • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of management experience leading high-performing Sales Engineers selling into US Federal and Intelligence Accounts • 10+ years of experience supporting sales of storage, networking, or systems solutions to large accounts and data centers • Deep understanding of US Government IT architecture, including multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions • Experience setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and convert them into clients • Knowledge of storage architectures: FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN • Strong knowledge of Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers • Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills • BS in CS, EE, or another technical degree and/or equivalent experience • Active security clearance required
