📋 Description

• Improve reliability, availability, and visibility for customer platforms • Plan and execute documented maintenance • Drive remediation and automation • Provide remote support for Linux-based infrastructure across data center and cloud environments • Manage the full OS lifecycle, including installation, deployment, patching, and upgrades • Design and implement infrastructure deployment, configuration, and operations automation • Implement and evolve SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity plans, and reliability reviews • Improve observability across metrics, logs, and traces and keep alerts actionable • Build infrastructure-as-code, configuration-management, and GitOps pipelines • Collaborate with support, application, and data teams to reduce toil • Operate Elasticsearch/OpenSearch clusters, Redis environments, or Kafka–Hadoop–Spark platforms • Facilitate technical discussions with customers and advise on platform roadmaps and architecture trade-offs • Support and cross-train teammates and maintain documentation and internal knowledge sharing • Participate in on-call, escalations, and change reviews • Proactively reduce toil through scripting and automation

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting • Kubernetes fundamentals, including workloads, networking, storage, upgrades, security, and high availability • Experience with one major cloud: GCP, AWS, or Azure • Infrastructure as code and configuration management experience • CI/CD and GitOps familiarity • Bash and/or Python scripting • Clear written and spoken English • Estimation, stakeholder communication, and documentation quality • Depth in one data platform area and willingness to ramp on others within 60–90 days • Elasticsearch/OpenSearch operations, tuning, ILM/snapshots, security, and EFK, or Redis operations, data structures, eviction policies, and RDB/AOF persistence • Production exposure to Kafka–Hadoop–Spark; familiarity with Confluent/MSK/Strimzi and Dataproc/EMR/CDP • Ability to fulfill requirements necessary to obtain a background check
