📋 Description

• Design and implement RESTful APIs with OpenAPI specifications and auto-generated client SDKs using SQLAlchemy and Postgres • Develop ingestion pipelines using Celery and Redis connecting to file storage, messaging, and email tools • Extract structured engineering artifacts from unstructured inputs such as call transcripts, emails, documents, and datasheets • Build and extend agentic AI workflows for structured data extraction, risk detection, dependency analysis, and proactive team coordination • Integrate LLM APIs including Anthropic Claude and OpenRouter with streaming, error handling, and cost optimization • Deploy and operate services on GCP using Terraform • Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews • Collaborate with the engineering team, AI researchers, and head of product • Contribute to system design decisions and establish backend engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production backend systems, with 3+ years in Python • Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) • Strong experience with FastAPI or similar async Python web frameworks • Production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization • Hands-on experience with task queues and background processing (Celery, Redis, or similar) • Understanding of API design, authentication patterns (OIDC/JWT), and service architecture • Experience with containerized deployments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines • Ability to balance rapid iteration with maintainable, well-tested code • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum • Experience with early-stage 0 to 1 startup environments is highly valuable • Production experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-powered features with agent orchestration frameworks is highly valuable • Hands-on experience with GCP services and Terraform is highly valuable • Experience with data ingestion pipelines and ETL workflows is highly valuable • Background in B2B SaaS platforms, project management tools, or workflow automation products is highly valuable • Understanding of hardware development, engineering workflows, or project management concepts is highly valuable
