📋 Description

• Provide remote technical support, incident, and problem management for Spacestation on IL5 and IL6 instances • Support the PaaS Tech Lead with technical context, hands-on execution, and defined work items • Collaborate with PaaS, IaaS, Digital Engineering, AI, DevTeam, and CEM teams • Instrument applications, servers, and systems to collect telemetry for actionable monitoring • Build dashboards for regular users through executives • Build issue-detection tests to improve platform reliability • Build scripts to load test the platform • Maintain Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code • Support database and API communication development activities • Prepare technical documentation, standard procedures, reports, research, and cost analysis • Coordinate server, network, and application dependencies affecting Spacestation • Assist with projects from implementation through testing and production • Apply security patches, updates, and configuration baselines in coordination with the ISSM and PaaS Tech Lead • Support Atlassian and custom applications hosted on Spacestation, including deployment and troubleshooting • Support digital engineering and AI workloads, including data pipeline and model deployment • Track platform issues and changes in the ticketing system and escalate service-delivery impacts • Recommend platform changes, priorities, and risks to the PaaS Tech Lead • Address customer technical questions, issues, and solutions • Lead small technical efforts and mentor junior engineers • Present technical solutions and recommendations to customers and stakeholders • Lead customer-facing incident response and communicate status and resolution • Coordinate across organizations to solve complex digital thread and AI implementation issues • Document unique issues and solutions in knowledgebase or procedure/policy documents • Provide on-call and evening or weekend support and maintenance as needed

• Customer-service and results-oriented problem solver • Excellent oral and effective written communication skills • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Experienced decision-maker • Able to work independently without direct supervision • Able to work as part of a distributed team spanning multiple time-zones and regions • 10+ years of experience with computer systems support, server installation and support, network administration, network installation, and monitoring/observability platforms • Experience troubleshooting complex network and systems infrastructure issues • Experience with enterprise-level monitoring or observability platforms • Experience monitoring user experience down to the click level • Experience with Linux Administration • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, or equivalent container and orchestration platforms • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Helm, Ansible, or CloudFormation) • Experience installing software, patches, and updates for K8s • Experience operating production Kubernetes in multi-cluster or multi-tenant environments • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, Go) for automation tasks • CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification required • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field • Experience in 2 or more of the following areas: cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services; DoD-specific cloud platforms such as ARCUS, CloudOne, or PlatformOne; cybersecurity within the DoD; Docker or Kubernetes; Elastic SIEM offerings; jMeter or another load testing platform; Jenkins or another application testing platform • Experience with Active Directory and Windows Servers is a plus • Experience with Platform One Big Bang, Party Bus, or Iron Bank is preferred • Experience operating IL5 or IL6 environments is preferred • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams is preferred
