📋 Description

• Design, manage, secure, and automate Linux infrastructure • Ensure high availability, performance, compliance, and security across cloud environments • Build secure, automated, and scalable Linux infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Design high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures for performance and cost efficiency • Create standardized cloud-native environments supporting distributed systems and enterprise workloads • Automate provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, Terraform, Git, and Python • Implement proactive monitoring and reliability engineering solutions to improve uptime and performance • Build security-hardened environments aligned with CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, and industry compliance standards • Develop response and forensic processes to strengthen organizational security posture • Troubleshoot advanced operating system, application, performance, and security issues • Prepare root-cause-analysis documentation • Influence architecture decisions and collaborate with technical leaders and cross-functional teams • Participate in maintenance and on-call rotation, including off-hours work as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person; NS2 does not provide visa sponsorship • U.S. Citizenship is required • 10–12 years in IT • 8+ years managing Linux systems and enterprise applications • 5+ years scripting/coding • 3+ years enterprise compute support • Subject matter expertise in Linux administration, especially Red Hat Linux • Significant experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based virtual machines and infrastructure • Strong ability to troubleshoot advanced OS, application, performance, and security issues • Experience preparing RCA documentation • Background architecting scalable distributed systems using open-source tools • Hands-on proficiency with Git, Bash, Ansible, Python, and Terraform • Knowledge of IAM, networking, load balancing, file transfers, security engineering, and disaster recovery • Practical experience applying enterprise security best practices and compliance requirements • Expertise in Linux hardening and vulnerability assessment workflows • Experience responding to security incidents and conducting forensic analysis • Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CMMC, and FedRAMP • Certifications in OS, security, networking, or cloud • Relevant degree or equivalent experience • Ability to work remotely and take on off-hours work as needed for maintenance or on-call rotation
