📋 Description

• Collaborate with product designers and the control plane development team on React operator consoles • Review designer-authored merge requests and bring them to production quality through structure, types, tests, accessibility, performance, and theme support • Convert one-off UI into shared, documented design-system components in Storybook and migrate applications to them • Build data-dense dashboards, tables, charts, time-range controls, and filters that operate at large scale • Connect UI to GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend developers on queries, fields, and endpoints • Own Vitest unit and Playwright end-to-end test coverage and keep CI green • Test UI end to end in live, secured environments with real data and realistic load • Ship work behind feature flags and carry fixes across release branches • Fix UI bugs across web consoles and Windows, Mac, and Linux clients • Design new interfaces within the existing design system when needed and bring them to design for review • Establish guardrails for AI-assisted UI development, including lint rules, conventions, review checklists, and AI-tool instructions • Bridge UX/design and engineering priorities while deferring to design partners on style, copy, and information architecture • Contribute to shared components, conventions, tests, and agent instructions that improve the development process

🎯 Requirements

• Must be based in California or North Carolina, preferably the San Francisco Bay Area if in California • About 3–5 years of professional front-end experience, or equivalent work demonstrating the same judgment • Strong TypeScript and modern React experience, including hooks, composition, state management, and re-render understanding • End-to-end understanding of UI systems and backend integration • Experience creating, integrating, and running tests in live environments with authentication, authorization, realistic load, data validity, security, and scale checks • Experience maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites in CI • Performance knowledge for data-heavy UIs, including pagination, virtualization, and server-side filtering • Track record of reviewing and improving others' code without rewriting it • Git experience in complex repositories with multiple active release branches • Hands-on use of AI coding tools and practices for validating generated code • Strong CSS skills, including flexbox, grid, overflow, scroll containers, responsive behavior, tooltips, and popovers • Experience building or contributing to a component library or design system • Careful visual attention and genuine interest in UX • Interest in AI and agentic systems and their operational and security implications • Computer science degree is not required if equivalent rigor is demonstrated
