📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software features and services, primarily in Go • Contribute to TypeScript-based systems where needed • Own the full lifecycle of work, including technical design, implementation, testing, production support, defect resolution, and iterative improvement • Lead delivery of well-defined projects or complex features, managing tasks, technical risks, timelines, and quality standards • Contribute to design and architecture discussions to improve maintainability, scalability, and operational resilience • Participate in and lead peer reviews of code, designs, documentation, and test cases • Use modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted tools, to improve development efficiency and code quality • Contribute to production support, incident response, and on-call activity where needed • Improve tooling, test coverage, code structure, observability, and delivery practices • Mentor junior and less experienced engineers through knowledge sharing

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of commercial software engineering experience ideally • Strong practical experience in Go • Experience building and maintaining backend services, preferably in Go • Familiarity with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as Angular or React • Ability to own and deliver well-defined feature work to agreed timelines and quality standards • Experience writing maintainable, well-tested code • Experience participating in design and code reviews • Experience contributing to process and quality improvements • Understanding of software design, debugging, testing, and operational support in production environments • Strong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement • Ability to identify risks, resolve ambiguity, and work effectively with other teams • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers • Experience using modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, advantageous • Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom jurisdiction without employer sponsorship
