📋 Description

• Design and develop software solutions supporting public health and public safety IT projects • Develop applications incorporating significant automation and custom product configuration • Design and develop cloud-native and web applications using Java, object-oriented analysis, reusable design patterns, and other web technologies • Build automation tools for development, deployment, monitoring, and testing • Develop React or PrimeFaces JSF web-based user interfaces • Design and oversee comprehensive, scalable, innovative, and robust software solutions aligned with business needs • Lead the development team in analyzing and breaking down requirements and assigning release work • Meet regularly with the business team to analyze requirements • Develop for Oracle or PostgreSQL RDBMS applications and tune SQL queries with complex business logic • Perform code reviews, unit testing, functional testing, and production deployments • Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes • Identify and remediate technical debt and quality issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a closely-related IT field plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer implementing and analyzing software solutions; or Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in those fields plus 5 years of experience • Five years of experience writing, debugging, and optimizing Bash shell scripts • Five years of experience with Hibernate, JPA, SQL, and HQL, including ORM mapping, query optimization, entity management, and relational database design • Five years of experience designing, building, and consuming SOAP and/or REST APIs • Five years of experience with SCRUM and AGILE methodologies • Five years of experience with full-stack architecture, pipelines, CI/CD, and infrastructure systems • Five years of hands-on development in Springboot, Web Services, HTML5, and deployments on Unix-like environments using systems-level tools • Five years of experience analyzing user requirements and converting them into software design and solutions • Five years of experience implementing debugging, analytics, and API development best practices using SOLID principles • Five years of experience with secure coding patterns utilizing SSL/TLS PKI or RSA public/private keys • Five years of hands-on frontend development with React or JQuery • Five years of experience using Java to design and implement cloud-native applications and infrastructure using AWS/Azure or Spring Cloud Netflix • Five years of experience as a lead developer for a project or group, managing development efforts • Ability to work from anywhere in the U.S.
