📋 Description

• Build the system that determines how quickly and effectively Stord engineers can work, serving internal engineering customers • Identify what needs to be built, make technical decisions, and own outcomes with high agency • Translate Principal Engineering Group architectural direction into working software • Establish ownership patterns for shared services • Ensure product teams can integrate with platform services reliably and with minimal friction • Contribute to the technical strategy for unifying Stord’s product suite into composable shared services • Identify duplicated capabilities and drive extraction into well-defined platform services • Support clean multi-product integration, including consolidation of acquired products • Serve as the go-to technical resource for product teams integrating with platform services • Identify friction in shared infrastructure consumption and close the feedback loop with product teams • Collaborate with SRE on infrastructure concerns affecting shared-service reliability • Build MCP integrations, shared skill libraries, automated feedback loops, type systems, test harnesses, linters, and pre-commit hooks • Create infrastructure enabling agents to operate autonomously on meaningful work • Understand internal engineers’ friction through direct conversation and ship tooling, golden paths, and scaffolding • Measure developer-experience improvements and hours saved per engineer • Evaluate agentic-development tools and design patterns for everyday engineering practice • Identify agent failure points and build infrastructure changes that improve reliability • Embed with internal teams, map workflows or codebases end-to-end, and ship improvements • Establish reliable agent workflows, golden paths, and a platform that becomes default infrastructure for engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Meaningful experience at the infrastructure or platform layer • Practical experience running agents in production-adjacent workflows • CLAUDE.md or equivalent in at least one repository • Product manager instincts: define problems, ship, measure, and iterate • Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders • High agency and comfort working without a detailed brief • CLI-native workflow using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent as the primary development environment (hard requirement) • Ownership and accountability • Strong communication skills • Collaborative approach and constructive code review participation • Production mindset focused on reliability, failure modes, monitoring, and operational concerns • Learning agility with rapidly evolving AI/ML technologies and tools • Ability to use AI coding tools while maintaining quality and technical judgment • Nice to have: logistics, supply chain, or operations software domain context • Nice to have: familiarity with Elixir/Phoenix, TypeScript, Kafka, and GCP • Nice to have: experience building or contributing to an internal developer platform • Nice to have: workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal, Prefect, or Airflow • Nice to have: open source contributions or participation in agentic developer communities • Bonus: authentication/authorization systems including OAuth, OIDC, RBAC/ABAC • Bonus: event-driven architectures and messaging systems at scale • Bonus: GCP services or Terraform • Bonus: logistics, supply chain, or commerce domains • Bonus: high-growth environments and rapid organizational scaling • Bonus: M&A integration and consolidating acquired systems
