It integrates with billing, commerce, and accounting stacks (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Shopify, Amazon, etc. ) and exposes APIs for custom setups. Taxwire targets software, e-commerce, and manufacturing customers and emphasizes compliance automation, filings, and audit readiness.

📋 Description

• Ship new customer-facing features and product lines end to end with the CEO and Head of Product • Build automation for sales tax compliance, including filing pipelines, state portal submissions, payment infrastructure, and human-review workflows • Build and maintain the customer dashboard, onboarding flows, monitoring and reporting tools, and internal tax operations tooling • Work directly with the tax operations team to identify automation breakdowns and design scalable, accurate solutions • Pull customer registrations from external platforms and automate data and approval workflows • Calculate liabilities, prepare returns, submit filings, reconcile confirmations, and handle edge cases • Translate complex compliance workflows into clear, fast user interfaces • Participate in architectural decisions and challenge technical or product directions when appropriate • Maintain quality through meaningful tests, clean system interfaces, and maintainable code

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10+ years of engineering experience, with meaningful time shipping full-stack products on small teams • Strong command of React and TypeScript • Experience owning features end to end, including design collaboration, backend contract definition, and production delivery • Production experience building full-stack applications • Good product judgment and attention to user experience • Comfort turning ambiguous problem statements into working products • Willingness to have direct, honest conversations about technical or product direction
