📋 Description

• Build, maintain, and evolve the culture and community of Quality Engineering practitioners • Lead a team of Quality Engineers through coaching on knowledge, skills, and performance • Advance practice capabilities and advise practitioners to ensure effective, sound solutions • Ensure delivery of high-quality technology solutions through comprehensive testing practices and quality assurance • Hire talent, set goals, develop staff, manage performance and compensation decisions, promote teamwork, and handle disciplinary actions as required • Coach and train practitioners and guide their work related to product quality and delivery speed • Develop colleagues to become masters of their craft • Adapt to customer, stakeholder, and regulatory needs in collaboration with Platform and Journey teams • Assess Quality Engineering practitioners and uphold enterprise practice standards • Facilitate the Practice Community of Interest across the Technology organization • Develop coaching strategies and provide leadership across multiple teams and departments • Execute practice strategy through tools, methodologies, and processes across the enterprise • Provide team leadership, training, coaching, development, succession, recruitment, and resource management • Engage with Platform and Journey leads to ensure two-way practitioner feedback • Identify skills gaps and address them through learning, coaching, and support • Build an engaged practitioner culture and act as an expert innovator and culture change agent • Shift quality engineering from defect finding to proactive defect prevention • Support continuous improvement and automation opportunities • Analyze data, make recommendations, and assess program and practice effectiveness • Review test assets for quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability • Monitor service and productivity, implement process and performance improvements, and address risk, governance, and remediation issues • Manage stakeholder relationships, align with enterprise and regulatory requirements, and escalate high-risk activities • Maintain risk management and control practices • Lead and develop a diverse, engaged team and foster a continuous learning culture • Develop strategic priorities and long-term plans, set team objectives, provide feedback and coaching, and manage employees in accordance with HR policies

🎯 Requirements

• University or graduate/postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience • 10+ years of relevant experience in the field of specialization • Encompass and Blend Mortgage Product Experience • Residential Mortgage and/or Home Equity Lending Experience • Senior Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Software Testing experience • Strong expertise in manual functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into test scenarios and test cases • Experience working in Agile delivery environments • Proficiency with quality management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and JTMF • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentorship skills • Ability to independently lead testing efforts while influencing quality outcomes across multiple teams • Ability to work in the United States
