📋 Description

• Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, scalable Python code for health-related software projects • Implement backend services, APIs, and integrations with healthcare platforms such as EHR/EMR systems • Collaborate with senior developers and team members to troubleshoot and debug code • Develop and optimize database interactions with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB • Write queries and ensure proper data manipulation, retrieval, and storage • Perform data validation and ensure data integrity and consistency • Assist in designing and building RESTful APIs for healthcare-system data exchange • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews • Implement test automation scripts for application reliability and performance • Debug issues and fix bugs across development and production environments • Collaborate with product managers, senior engineers, and quality assurance teams • Document code, workflows, and best practices • Stay updated on Python programming and healthcare IT tools and practices • Seek feedback and mentorship to improve technical skills and coding practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 2+ years of professional Python programming experience • Proficiency with Python, including experience with libraries such as PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, Polars, or similar frameworks • Basic understanding of database management and querying using SQL and/or NoSQL databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB • Familiarity with version control tools like Git • Experience using Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum), JIRA, and other tools to plan Sprints and track changes and testing • Experience writing and executing unit and integration tests • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across multiple disciplines • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and healthcare compliance requirements • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely • Preferred: experience in federal consulting • Preferred: experience with healthcare data projects or financial/banking systems • Preferred: awareness of HIPAA compliance challenges • Preferred: knowledge of Docker and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
