• Serve as the primary HR contact for senior business leaders of assigned client groups • Partner with the Director, HR on talent plans, organizational design, and organizational effectiveness solutions • Translate business goals into integrated talent strategies supporting growth, performance, and engagement • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise on key HR programs, including year-end processes, inclusive culture, workforce planning, and talent review • Drive talent management planning, talent reviews, and succession planning for assigned business units • Develop and deploy talent programs to build talent pipelines • Coach leaders on ethical, inclusive, and compliant people practices • Analyze skill and capability gaps and work with Learning & Development to address needs • Champion internal mobility, mentoring, and development planning • Provide organizational change and organizational design consultation for business reorganizations • Ensure consistent and legally compliant application of HR policies and practices • Analyze business unit and talent data to recommend solutions improving performance, retention, engagement, and employee experience • Lead assigned HR and business-facing projects • Build partnerships with HR Centers of Expertise and stakeholders across Thrivent • Partner with organizational leaders and Communications on communication strategies • Act as a change agent supporting adoption of HR programs and HR best practices • Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise on cyclical talent management efforts, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation planning, talent review, and succession planning • Model Thrivent’s leadership competencies and support continuous improvement and employee engagement
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related field • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience and/or HRBP experience • Background in employee relations, organization design/development, talent acquisition, total rewards, and/or performance management in a mid-to-large organization • Strong business and HR acumen • Ability to think strategically, plan and align work, and drive meaningful impact • Understanding of business processes, financial metrics, and organizational systems • Ability to diagnose organizational performance gaps and facilitate process improvements • Knowledge of employment law and ability to navigate difficult employee relations issues • Knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, FLSA, and ADA laws and regulations • Knowledge of performance management practices • Ability to develop and implement HR systems, processes, and solutions • Experience executing initiatives and leading cross-functional teams • Exceptional communication, coaching, and influencing skills • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders • Facilitation skills for group processing and learning experiences • Ability to manage ambiguity, change, transformation, pressure, and competing priorities • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Experience with HRIS • Ability to travel occasionally for leadership meetings or team offsites • Master’s degree preferred • HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred • Experience in fast-paced, matrixed organizations preferred • Experience in financial services preferred • Experience with Workday preferred
