📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow Toptal’s Cloud Services team of solution architects • Set technical vision, architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices • Recruit, onboard, and retain solution architects and align team capabilities with market demand • Partner with Sales to assess client needs, define solutions, shape proposals, and lead technical presentations and client conversations • Develop scalable hybrid cloud and DevOps offerings, including cloud migration, landing zones, container platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, and FinOps • Partner with Delivery to ensure successful implementation and guide engineering teams through complex technical decisions • Plan team capacity, manage workload and utilization, and track pipeline support, win rate, and client satisfaction • Build relationships with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat, and HashiCorp partners • Maintain thought leadership on hybrid cloud, platform engineering, and DevOps trends and contribute to marketing content • Own architecture for strategic accounts and build proofs of concept • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Delivery, and Talent Operations • Review practice demand, existing talent, active engagements, and Solution Architect development needs • Define the team operating model and pre-sales engagement process • Build a high-performing Solution Architect team and contribute to revenue growth

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required • 15+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering and architecture • At least 5+ years leading teams of solution architects or senior engineers within cloud or technology services • 3+ years managing a business or team, preferably with P&L or budget responsibility • Proven experience leading and developing teams of solution architects or senior technical consultants • Experience building and scaling hybrid cloud and DevOps service offerings • Deep expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform • Experience with data center and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V • Knowledge of hybrid cloud technologies such as Azure Arc, AWS Outposts, and Google Distributed Cloud • Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, serverless computing, and microservices architecture • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automation frameworks • Expertise in DevOps and platform engineering practices, including DevSecOps, SRE, observability, and DORA metrics • Experience with cloud migration, application modernization, disaster recovery, and business continuity • Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS, identity and access management, encryption, and policy-as-code • Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost optimization, AI-enabled infrastructure and operations, and edge computing • Ability to develop relationships with enterprise clients and executives • Ability to lead collaboratively in a high-growth environment • Ability to articulate strategy with an agile execution plan • Demonstrated success making data-driven decisions and defining key metrics • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies for non-technical stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company • Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire • Resumes and communication must be submitted in English • Relevant certifications are a plus, not required
