📋 Description

• Partner with Steady State teams to understand day-to-day operational work through interviews and shadowing • Analyze ServiceNow ticket data to identify recurring, manual, and time-consuming tasks and quantify frequency and effort • Prioritize automation opportunities based on ticket volume, risk, and operational impact • Build automation use cases with Steady State leadership • Codify best practices, critical procedures, and maintenance/deployment tasks into reusable Ansible playbooks and roles • Design and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code for repeatable provisioning and configuration • Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to package, test, and safely deploy automation to production • Manage secrets, credentials, and certificates through HashiCorp Vault • Use JFrog Artifactory, including Xray, Catalog, and Curation, to manage and secure automation artifacts • Validate automation against existing manual procedures before retiring manual processes • Track and report automation coverage and reductions in manual ticket volume • Document automated processes, playbooks, and pipeline configurations • Monitor ticket trends and maintain the automation backlog

🎯 Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience • Hands-on production experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and HashiCorp Vault • Experience analyzing ticket/incident data using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool • Experience gathering requirements from operations teams through interviews and process walkthroughs • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, storage, and backup operations • Solid scripting ability in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and software supply chain security • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight • Strong communication skills across development, security, and operations teams • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes preferred • ServiceNow and Power BI reporting/dashboarding experience preferred • Eligibility for any required U.S. Government authorizations related to export-controlled commodities and technology
