📋 Description

• Design, build, and own full-stack features and platform primitives used by internal teams, partners, and customers • Deploy, operate, support, and maintain integrations in Vanta's Government Cloud • Monitor integrations and participate in on-call, incident response, and change management within the GovCloud boundary • Contribute to authentication, data-ingestion, and schema-evolution services • Partner with federal subject-matter experts to implement and maintain continuous-monitoring detectors and automated tests with versioned framework mappings • Build secure, documented, scalable services and UI with TypeScript, React, and Node.js • Improve performance, operational excellence, and SDLC practices • Use AI tools and workflows to accelerate development and operations

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack development building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems • Experience designing APIs and reusable components others depend on • Solid grounding in RESTful APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys, JWT), and security best practices • Experience building data ingestion from external systems using rate limiting, retries, idempotency, and webhooks • Systems thinking with focus on scale, reliability, failure modes, edge cases, and risk • Ability to partner with internal teams, federal agency employees, vendors, and Third-Party Assessment Organizations (3PAOs) • Interest in security or compliance and building trustworthy systems in a regulated environment • Openness to using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact • Must reside in and perform all work exclusively from within the United States, accessing systems only from U.S. locations • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship • Preferred: familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FISMA compliance frameworks • Preferred: experience building or operating in a government or regulated cloud environment, such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP
