📋 Description

• Execute end-to-end server onboarding, including initial imaging and bundled firmware updates • Respond to capacity management to provision new servers efficiently • Perform basic post-onboard validation and ensure smooth handoff to the Platform team • Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering teams for new assignments • Build and improve automation scripts and provisioning pipelines • Track and report on onboarding metrics, identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements • Support server repurposing and migration activities as part of the broader lifecycle process • Maintain detailed documentation and runbooks for repeatable provisioning workflows • Collaborate with the Hardware team when physical coordination is required during onboarding • Contribute to process optimization to handle increasing onboarding volume with high quality • Onboard thousands of new servers through 2026, supporting customer growth and capacity expansion

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, deployment automation, or infrastructure operations • Strong Bash scripting skills with experience building and maintaining automation scripts for repetitive tasks • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals — networking, storage, boot processes, and command-line tooling • Comfortable working in high-volume deployment environments with remote hands support • Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively during periods of rapid scaling and high throughput demands • Willingness to learn and adapt to Vultr's specific provisioning workflows and tooling • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • Must be located in the United States • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
