📋 Description

• Lead and support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of building systems and equipment across owned and leased buildings in the Denver Metro area • Respond to and complete engineering tickets at headquarters, branches, and other locations for employees and tenants • Implement and lead the preventative maintenance program • Serve as the subject matter expert on building-system operation, maintenance, and improvements • Develop and maintain engineering processes and safety procedures • Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment to keep buildings safe and comfortable • Troubleshoot issues with internal facilities and external vendors • Respond immediately to emergency situations and employee or tenant concerns • Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions • Maintain and operate life safety and fire systems, including inspections and testing, and coordinate communication with security • Inspect new installations for building-code and safety-regulation compliance • Support Real Estate in building acquisition and disposition activities • Assist with vendor management and timely completion of work orders and services • Collaborate with retail, IT, HR, security, and other departments • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response • Mentor and train other staff and junior team members • Perform other duties as assigned • No direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in building engineering and maintenance in an office or retail setting • Thorough understanding of and experience working on HVAC, including cooling towers, VAV boxes, distribution, pumps, and motors • Experience with building automation systems, plumbing, elevators, fire and life safety equipment, preventive maintenance, electrical, and general building/grounds maintenance • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics • Valid Colorado driver’s license • Ability to travel between branch locations in the Denver Metro area • Own dependable vehicle or ability to use one of Westerra’s fleet vehicles • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Ability to learn and demonstrate that learning on the job • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality • Ability to complete assigned deliverables with little day-to-day management • Judgment in handling difficult, typically non-complex problems • Basic understanding of the specialized discipline and business line • Ability to stoop, climb, and stand, and lift 25–50 lbs • Angus ticketing system experience is a plus
