📋 Description

• Provide advanced database development, engineering, performance optimization, and lifecycle management services for the DHS ICE program • Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and other complex database objects • Analyze SQL query execution plans, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize complex queries • Develop and document data archiving plans covering retention, archiving, retrieval, and historical data management • Design, implement, and maintain data archiving processes while preserving data integrity and meeting retention and security requirements • Develop, test, and execute SQL scripts for data corrections, inconsistencies, and database migrations • Implement automated database installation, configuration, and schema management using Liquibase • Develop automated processes to identify, validate, and correct data inconsistencies • Collaborate in an Agile development environment to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and optimized database solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of related work experience executing the described job responsibilities • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field • DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ • Ability to obtain DHS Background Investigation • Experience operating in an Agile DevOps environment (desired) • Experience working in a cloud environment, including AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud (desired) • Strong hands-on expertise in complex SQL development, database architecture, query optimization, data management, and automated database deployment and maintenance • Experience with Liquibase or other approved database automation tools • Excellent active listening, verbal communication, business writing, consulting, leadership, and analytic skills • Ability to collaborate, adapt to shifting priorities, engage stakeholders, and discuss technical issues with non-technical executive-level government officials • Ability to lead and mentor teams
