Description

• Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer • Supporting the Company’s contract operations (Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, IP, and M&A) • Optimizing the organization’s legal services by implementing processes, practices, and systems • Supporting business operations and customer facing groups by providing legal advice and recommendations • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, software licensing, and other key agreements • Developing strategies for handling legal issues and building processes that address risk • Driving programs to enhance in-house efficiency, standardization of processes, enhanced cost controls and strategies • Evaluating and making suggestions regarding legal services technology roadmap • Identifying legal risks and executing mitigation plans • Conducting legal research, providing legal advice on routine issues, and analyzing and summarizing legal documents • Serving as a legal resource for corporate governance matters and participating in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures • Providing legal and strategic business advice to internal stakeholders • Managing engagement of and relationships with outside counsel/advisors • Building internal Legal and Operational knowledge management processes and capabilities • Supporting M&A engagements • Advising on contract provisions and leading contract workflow process • Coordinating billing with external firms and assisting with maintaining the legal budget

Requirements

• JD, licensed to practice w/ 7+ years professional legal experience • Strong financial acumen and excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated experience building, running, managing legal programs, projects, and processes • Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law • Experience working with foreign entities and international legal matters desired • Comfortable managing competing priorities/deadlines while maintaining quality work product • Demonstrated interest in legal tech, legal ops, and finding innovative ways to scale legal function • Work efficiently with a client-service focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Ability to maintain productive work relationships and work collaboratively with subject matter experts to research and resolve issues • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
