Description

Burkland Associates is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join our Income Tax team. You will be part of the Tax practice and you will support indirect tax compliance, reporting, research, consulting, planning, and integration activities. You will work closely and proactively alongside numerous clients. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple industries and companies as they grow and scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND 3-5 years of income tax experience • Experience in international tax issues • Detailed understanding and knowledge of tax principles • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and reprioritize as needed • Experience in process improvement, governance, and cross-functional collaboration • Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, including excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office • EA/CPA or Master's in Taxation and/or JD/LLM • Global income tax experience in the technology industry and/or multinational company. • Familiarity with SaaS, FinTech, and/or eCommerce taxation trends and the international income tax implications. • Experience using G-suite applications (Spreadsheet, Docs, Slides, etc.). • Detail-oriented with the ability to think “big picture” and understand key trends and levers that drive business compliance. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting tax law and solutions. • A great sense of accuracy and problem-resolution skills.
