Description
• Develop project developer and supplier relationships • Structure and negotiate commercial arrangements for offtake in collaboration with cross-functional teams within Carbon Direct • Become the internal expert on market strategy for a set of technology verticals, including market standard contract approaches and supply/demand dynamics • Contribute to supply sourcing strategy and cross-departmental processes • Articulate Carbon Direct’s value proposition to our supplier base, identify ways to increase our value to suppliers, and represent Carbon Direct at industry conferences
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience originating and structuring multi-faceted partnership agreements with project developers • Analytical problem solver who can structure solutions for diverse sourcing requirements • Experience with partnership negotiations and contracting • Business development or related experience, ideally with project developers or in procurement-related roles • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to meet informational needs across a wide range of actors • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet fast-paced deadlines • Collaborative and results-oriented • Passionate about climate action • Curious and hungry to learn • Familiarity with carbon removal, corporate sustainability, energy, or a related field • Science or engineering background a plus
