• Responsible for building and maintaining a new portfolio of accounts within the HVAC vertical to develop new business opportunities and increase market share for Carrier Rental Systems. • Acts as Business Development Manager for accounts in the HVAC industry across the DACH region. • Works as a strategic partner and advisor with key customers, both internal and external, within Climate Solutions Europe – Commercial Channel to identify new opportunities and synergies, promote and raise awareness of rental business within the new CSE organization, and create mutual value. • Locally implements European sales strategies for Rental Systems by developing innovative sales concepts and identifying the required infrastructure. • Conducts the Customer Account Planning cycle, ensuring account plans are in place for each assigned customer and aligned with their needs and Carrier CSE Commercial expectations. • Identifies customer needs and develops solutions and proposals (e.g., specifications, framework agreements, project requirements) tailored to the customer's buying process, stakeholders, and cycle. • Leverages local sales teams of the Carrier and Viessmann brands in the DACH region as needed when preparing solutions and proposals. • Communicates the Rental HVAC sales strategy to regional sales teams to ensure activities are properly tracked and sales cycles are accelerated. • Develops and presents sales presentations and proposals. • Negotiates independently and as part of a team to sign contracts that secure orders, revenue, and margin targets. • Closes sales opportunities and coordinates customer onboarding processes. • Collects and delivers market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive analyses in a timely manner. • Tracks lost opportunities, particularly those due to portfolio, technology, or product gaps, and collaborates with the BDM Verticals and Rental Business Unit Manager to influence product development. • Uses Salesforce CRM to record leads, contacts, activities, and opportunities and to accurately log opportunities by HVAC Vertical (Market Category & Application Type) and end users. • Monitors sales KPIs, takes action to improve sales performance, and identifies growth opportunities. • Plans targeted sales activities in close collaboration with all sales representatives and marketing. • Defines and manages regional, individual, and industry-specific sales targets. • Provides result-oriented support and business development for our sales partners, as well as building and expanding key accounts and potential rental partners in the regions. • Responsible for timely reporting of external and internal, national and European inquiries (KPIs). • Defines, organizes, and monitors required resources; when necessary, reports resource requirements to the Rental BUM. • Generates leads for future pipeline opportunities by fully understanding future investments and project pipelines of key accounts within the industry. • Manages all opportunities through to closing, in collaboration with regional sales teams and other internal stakeholders. • Builds long-term relationships with existing and potential customers. • Identifies, qualifies, and develops a pipeline of sales opportunities for the key accounts portfolio in the HVAC sector.
• Degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent qualification • Several years of sales experience in the rental business within the refrigeration & air conditioning industry, as well as in the heating sector • Solid portfolio knowledge of the Carrier and Viessmann brands • Technical knowledge in heating systems combined with strong experience in the HVAC rental business • Experience in professional value proposition selling in a B2B environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills, high self-initiative, and strong sense of responsibility • Structured and reliable working style • High willingness to travel (approx. 50%) within the DACH region • Experience in Strategic Account Management in B2B sales • Proficient in value-based, professional sales methodology in a B2B environment • Strong analytical skills and diagnostic competence • Strong numerical aptitude and excellent writing skills • Proven problem-solving abilities • Ability to work effectively in a matrix-organized corporate structure, including local sales teams, headquarters, product, and global account teams • Excellent time management to achieve sales targets within given deadlines • Extensive experience with Salesforce CRM and confident use of common office applications such as MS Office and other business applications
