Design, build, and maintain the digital platform for developer workflows.

• Help define and advance EQ's "Golden Path" covering the full software development lifecycle.
• Design & implement internal tools, libraries and APIs. Work with application teams to integrate them into our services.
• Refine our test, build and deployment process. Evaluate and integrate 3rd-party tools.
• Expand and mature our observability & monitoring stack.
• Evolve our infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Share on-call responsibilities and blameless postmortems with the rest of our Digital Services group.
• Shape our roadmap by sharing your passionate voice for best practices, informed by experience.
• Mentor other engineers within Digital Services to grow our collective understanding.

Software Engineer, Digital Platform (Staff / Sr Staff)

Machine Learning Engineer

• Influence product and engineering roadmaps through presentation of research insights, experimental results, and model performance metrics, in order to evolve organizational direction.
• Initiate and lead cross-functional engagements to surface, prioritize, formulate, and structure complex and ambiguous challenges where advanced novel deep learning research can have outsized company impact.
• Formulate and apply novel machine learning solutions to the energy domain.
• Tackle complex deep learning & machine learning problems by researching published academic literature, surveying industry techniques & intuition, and executing hands-on experimental testing & modeling.
• Drive the design, specification, development, and production deployment of our suite of novel deep learning & machine learning solutions.
• Lead short to medium term research projects that advance the state-of-the-art in deep learning as applied to energy asset management and financial trading.
• Define and evaluate a suite of success metrics across our portfolio of candidate and deployed machine learning models in order to understand operational characteristics, diagnose sources of under-performance, and identify opportunities for further research & improvement.

Machine Learning Scientist (Staff / Sr Staff) - Power Markets

Data Analyst

• Influence product and engineering roadmaps through presentation of research insights, experimental results, and trading strategy backtest metrics, in order to evolve organizational direction.
• Initiate and lead cross-functional engagements to surface, prioritize, formulate, and structure complex and ambiguous challenges where advanced novel quantitative analytics or machine learning techniques can drive outsized company trading impact.
• Investigate driving factors in trading over/under performance, identifying learnings, and drive a fly-wheel of continuous strategy improvement and team education.
• Identify and extract sources of trading alpha by researching multiple energy datasets, surveying industry techniques & domain intuition, and executing hands-on experimental models & backtests.
• Drive the design, specification, development, and production deployment of our suite of novel quantitative trading solutions.
• Lead short to medium term research projects that advance the state-of-the-art in quantitative research techniques, as applied to energy asset management and financial trading.

Quantitative Analyst (Staff / Sr Staff) - Power Markets

• Contribute to building and maintaining their cloud-native platform and infrastructure
• Assist in product development strategy, design, planning, and productivity
• Collaborate asynchronously with engineers, researchers, and product managers across time zones to design, build, and ship code
• Represent Equilibrium in external venues, including presenting work at conferences and contributing to open-source projects
