• Help define, design, develop, and deploy EQ's Internal Developer Platform • Focus on Kubernetes, apply and advance best practices for DevOps, including Infrastructure As Code, Gitops, and CI/CD Pipelines • Participate in project planning meetings to share knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits. In addition, communicate operational requirements and development forecasts • Perform routine maintenance to ensure the production environment runs smoothly. Develop maintenance requirements and procedures • Implement advanced monitoring and alerting • Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the Platform group, and the Engineering department as a whole • Participate in and lead blameless post-mortems to build a culture of continuous improvement
• Demonstrated passion for clean energy initiatives and combating climate change • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience • 4+ years of relevant work experience • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other containerized workload platforms • Extensive practical knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including IAM, EKS, RDS, and EC2 • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, particularly with Terraform • Proficiency in software development, with a preference for Python, emphasizing code readability, reliability, and testing • Experience with automated deployment and orchestration tools like CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab / Github, and Docker • Strong inclination towards automation, DevOps methodologies, and fostering collaborative environments, incorporating operational excellence and development best practices • Ability to seamlessly integrate into cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving work methodologies • Familiarity with agile methodologies or a willingness to learn and apply them effectively • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
