• Develop and implement the company's overall legal strategy to support business objectives and growth. • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to senior leadership on a broad range of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, privacy, and regulatory matters. • Provide guidance on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, corporate policies, and compliance with relevant regulations. • Stay current with relevant industry regulations and laws impacting the mental health tech sector. • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. • Provide guidance on data protection and privacy laws, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. • Advise the Quality and Compliance teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive team members to provide legal insights and support for various business initiatives. • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including partnerships, collaborations, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts. • Location: Virtual, remote work position. Travel required 4-8 times a year for executive, Board, and team meetings.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the state bar association. • Minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred. • Strong background in technology, healthcare, healthcare IT, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and experience with Professional Corporation structures in medical and healthcare contexts. • Experience with insurance qualifications, including knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, risk assessment, policy and contract reviews, and a proven track record of successfully managing insurance-related legal matters, negotiating insurance contracts, and claims resolution. • Proven experience managing and leading legal and risk and compliance teams. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs. • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Preferred experience in litigation and mediation • Preferred experience in payor contracts
