Description
• Provide technical expertise to the Security Operations (SecOps) team • Maintain situational awareness of multiple concurrent computer SecOps activities • Identify relevant cyber threat trends and provide risk analysis recommendations • Participate in the development of products, reports, and briefings for senior officials • Serve as a mid to senior-level Subject Matter Expert on technical operations • Create and update standard operating procedures • Perform analysis, reporting, and remediation of security incidents • Ensure consistency in work outcomes and contribute to program success • Identify system changes based on new security technologies or threats • Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on compliance with security programs • Consult with customers to evaluate functional requirements • Participate in technology initiatives across the government • Develop and lead the integration of IT security into software development and operations • Utilize Digital Analytics to improve IT security and customer experience
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science • 5-8 years of experience in IT security • Experience in planning, developing, and overseeing security aspects of IT programs • Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to team members • Knowledge of systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews • Strong understanding of IT security technologies • Ability to develop and implement security contingency plans and incident response procedures • Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity trends and developments • Excellent communication skills
