Description

• Leading and guiding customers throughout their technical journey with Kong. • Serving as a technical advisor to enterprise customers. • Consulting and guiding teams through architecture, implementation, deployment, and rollout phases of Kong technology. • Driving adoption, overall satisfaction, and retention of customers. • Interface and collaborate with peers, partners, and customer environment. • Working and collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Opportunity to help modernize enterprise software and learn about businesses in the digital age. • Building end-to-end solution architecture, addressing technical challenges, and providing hands-on technical assistance across Kong technology suite. • Engaging with customers on billable projects, guiding installation and implementation of Kong solutions. • Leading customer discussions and driving outcome-based professional services. • Collaborating with Product Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams. • Writing technical documentation and knowledge base articles. • Producing tooling and marketing content.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in professional services/support or other custom-facing technical role. • Hands-on implementation experience with API gateway and/or API integrations. • Infrastructure build experience with virtual machines or Containers using Kubernetes. • Knowledge of DevOps, Security fundamentals, and Networking fundamentals. • Proficient in Linux environments, including Cloud and Development tooling. • Kubernetes proficiency/experience. • Experience with major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. • Preferred experience in application development. • Prior experience in Open Source space or API Management. • Software development experience in one or more programming languages. • Strong desire to tackle hard technical problems with little or no direct daily supervision. • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues. • Passion and determination for technology. • Team-oriented nature with enjoyment for collaboration. • Self-awareness and strong communication skills. • Exceptional organizational and change management skills. • Proven team player in a fast-growing and dynamic environment. • Ability to travel to customer and Kong locations as needed (post-COVID).
