📋 Description

• Manage the data platform strategic backlog using a Data-Platform-as-a-Product mindset • Listen to internal users to remove friction and accelerate Time-to-Analysis • Lead the evolution of the Lakehouse architecture and the adoption of open formats such as Apache Iceberg • Automate Federated Computational Governance in the context of Data Mesh using code • Implement access, quality, and data protection (LGPD) compliance policies • Ensure the implementation of Data Contracts (ODCS) and observability tools in the construction of Data Products • Optimize partner teams' developer experience through Self-Service solutions • Eliminate dependencies on operational tickets for infrastructure provisioning or Airflow workflows • Control platform budget through advanced FinOps and Unit Economics practices • Develop the team's talent density through hiring, development plans, and blameless post-mortems • Ensure resilience and focus on preventing production incidents • Negotiate prioritization with Heads of Product and Operations, translating technical challenges into business value • Plan the impact of platform changes on analytical models and business products

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading and managing data engineering or platform engineering teams in fast-growing, high-complexity environments • Strong technical background in modern data architectures • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem • Hands-on experience applying Data Mesh • Knowledge of code-driven governance • Knowledge of data contracts • Experience with observability tools • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced FinOps • Ability to convert technical infrastructure metrics into financial impact and cost-efficiency reports • Excellent stakeholder management skills • Ability to negotiate prioritization with Heads of Product and Operations • Ability to translate technical challenges into clear, pragmatic business value • Systems thinking
