📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software developers • Provide career guidance, support personal development, and drive performance through feedback and coaching • Recruit, onboard, and retain engineering talent • Guide architecture and technical design of complex distributed software systems across product and platform layers • Participate in design and code reviews • Balance immediate deliverables with long-term architectural vision, scalability, maintainability, and technical debt • Plan, resource, and execute software development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies • Align team objectives with business priorities in collaboration with Product and Design • Track delivery progress, address blockers, and manage risks and dependencies • Implement and evolve engineering processes and workflows • Ensure robust testing, monitoring, and deployment strategies • Lead post-mortem reviews and implement operational improvements • Communicate project status, technical challenges, and decisions across the organization • Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders • Represent engineering in strategic planning, roadmap discussions, and customer interactions when needed • Encourage innovation and experimentation and stay current with emerging technologies • Collaborate with teams across Canada, the UK, India, and North America

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development • 2+ years in a team leadership or engineering management role • Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex projects with architectural impact • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices, cloud-native systems, microservices, and scalable infrastructure • Hands-on experience across product features and platform components • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience driving delivery in an iterative environment • Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills • Passion for developing people, building strong engineering cultures, and fostering team growth • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Experience in AI/ML or building features integrating LLM-based technologies • Background working on large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and React • Expected to work from 11am–7:30pm IST
