Description

• Partner with the VP, peers, broker, and distributor network to build out, implement, and drive our retail sales strategy for the Northeast retail channel across multiple categories • Build strong and credible relationships with retailer partners, brokers, and distributors • Build long-term and short-term goals to ensure sales resources are utilized effectively • Manage and deliver customer sales forecasts, distribution targets, profitability, and trade spend targets • Evaluate and analyze business using Nielsen, IRI, POS, and shipment data • Manage category review timelines and prepare sales presentations/category reviews • Collaborate with peers and leadership on the retail sales team • Attend trade shows and company meetings • Reside near a major airport • Experience in retail sales/sales management • Prior experience with grocery customers • Solid understanding of distribution methods • Category management understanding and knowledge • Strong ability in PowerPoint and Excel • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and positive • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively • Strong communication and presentation skills • Passion for relationship building • Excitement to travel for customer meetings • Connection to mission of health, sustainability, and transparency • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years in retail sales/sales management / Grocery experience in the CPG industry • Reside in the Northeast, near a major airport • Prior experience calling on and managing customers such as Hannaford, Stop & Shop, Market Basket, Price Chopper, Tops, and New York Metro distributors • A solid understanding of multiple distribution methods to get to customers; such as direct shipping and various 3rd party suppliers like UNFI / KeHE / C&S • Experience in working with and managing multiple brokers • Category management understanding and knowledge using syndicated data sources (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) to support fact-based selling • Strong ability in PowerPoint and Excel and would consider yourself a data-savvy sales professional • Thorough understanding of trade math • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Passion for relationship building • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and positive • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, while thriving in a remote environment • Excitement to get into the market and travel for customer meetings, trade shows/conferences, and market visits (estimated 50% travel time) • Connection to our mission of encouraging health, sustainability, and transparency • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
