• Conducting probabilistic risk analyses to support fast reactor design development • Working with engineering teams to conduct quantitative risk analyses • Developing probabilistic risk analysis (PRA) models • Analyzing event sequences and compiling risk insights • Conducting internal and external risk analyses • Evaluating external hazards using PRA techniques • Incorporating risk insights back into the design • Supporting licensing activities through technical reports, analyses, and documentation
• Bachelor's in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar • Familiarity with PRA techniques • Experience with PRA software (CAFTA, SAPHIRE, ADAPT, RAVEN, etc.) • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Bonus qualifications include experience with fast reactor design, uncertainty analysis, FMEA, transient analysis, source term analysis, Human Reliability Analysis, Python, and operations/engineering support of nuclear power plants
