Description

• Take ownership of key financial statement areas for the consolidated business, including inventory and COGS • Oversee day-to-day operations, including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable • Optimize the consolidated month-end close process to support a 7-day close • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (ASPE), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements • Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency • Collaborate with senior leadership to increase their financial acumen and impact • Work on some cool projects, including supporting the launch of new products/lines of business, process improvements, system implementations, revenue recognition, etc

Requirements

• Has 5+ years of accounting experience with a CPA designation and a combination of public accounting and industry experience • Experience in a similar role in a Retail, eCommerce or Wholesale business with in-depth experience with the inventory module in Netsuite or a similar large ERP • Pays close attention to details and can review their own work thoroughly • Is naturally curious; if something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across diverse teams, and a history of explaining complex ideas succinctly • May have corporate and indirect tax experience - this is an asset
