Description

• As a Product Manager (PM) at Planet, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your industry expertise and product vision. You will plan requirements, manage the product roadmap, lead projects through the entire product lifecycle, and work closely with multiple teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product evolution. • This role is central to Planet’s mission to image the entire Earth every day and make global change visible, accessible, and actionable. • You will oversee the continuous development of and improvements to Planet's flagship high-resolution imagery product (SkySat) and collaborate with various teams to ensure the success and growth of the product. • Joining Planet will provide you with an excellent opportunity to grow, learn, and make a significant impact on the world.

Requirements

• Sound understanding of the benefits and challenges of working with EO data • Experience in high resolution satellite imagery applications and characteristics; familiarity with concepts like resolution, radiometry, rectification, 3D modeling, etc. • Proven track record of effectively collaborating with Engineering teams (and experience with product development lifecycle and ceremonies) • Experience working with and meeting the needs of customers • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a proven ability to tackle unique challenges presented by its dynamic conditions • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Growth mindset and willingness to step in where needed • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills and organizational skills • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
