Role Summary: As a Sales Engineer on the Go-to-Market team at Prefect, you will be a primary contact with our strategic customers. You will lead technical conversations in relationship with clients and ensure our customers’ success. You will find a balance of providing them with solutions using existing functionality and advocating on their behalf by supporting their use cases during our internal product planning sessions. Our Sales Engineers are product-focused and enthusiastic to take on new challenges and guide our product and culture forward. You will create processes that scale in addition to building close relationships with other members of our organization, including engineering. You will identify opportunities for improvement, track risks and dependencies and lead projects to completion. You will report to our Director of Sales Engineering, Emil. What You'll Do: Develop a clear, technical understanding of our solution, best practices and competing solutions Support an end-to-end sales process - engaging and advising prospective clients Build and support long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with new Commercial clients Present and demonstrate the value of Prefect from a technical perspective to prospective clients Help bring in new business to Prefect, achieving monthly revenue goals Embody ownership: contribute and advocate for your ideas, while also preventing projects from failing

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a successful quota-carrying sales/solutions engineer • 2+ years experience with Python • Experience exceeding quota in a solution selling environment • Experience with engineering, customer experience, and design architecture • Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment • Understanding of Salesforce.com CRM and experience with Linux, AWS, GCP • Series A (whatever-it-takes) approach to ensure that Prefect's product and team are successful with a strong focus on product-led growth strategy
